Winthrop's Depatment of Bariatric Medicine
Has anyone been to this office for an evaluation? I would like to get some feedback before I make an appointment. A partner at work has seen them but I think he is going for surgery. I am not a candidate nor do u want to have surgery but I would really like to lose 40lbs and I have tried many commercial programs.

I have no advice regarding any weight loss programs through them, but I was a patient of this facility when I had the gastric sleeve surgery done in Oct '15. Their programs are more geared toward preparing for the surgery and life afterwards.
At the Patchogue location, they have a nutritionist that is phenomenal. Maybe you could schedule an appointment to meet with her.

I went to the center for medical weight loss and lost a significant amount of weight with them. It is restrictive though, but I believe it is similar to winthrops program.

I did a program through their endocrinology program a few years ago. The doctor was amazing and it truly changed my life. I am not sure if it the same. It was very strict but it was lifesaving.
