Winery Questions?
Hello,
I don't know how to phrase it...but I hope you get what I am trying to say...lol
When going to the wineries...has anyone ever found a deal where a limo picked you up...took you to some wineries and then took you home?
Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks!

My friends use long island wine tours. They have limos and book appointments at certain wineries.

Re: Winery Questions?
My girlfriends and I did this last year - the prices with regular limo companies came out cheaper, but we had to plan the stops. I think it would have been easier had we done a tour with one of the tour companies, but if you know where you want to go, and don't mind doing the planning, you could save significantly by calling around to regular places.

we did this on Saturday and it was AMAZING!!!
They picked us up at 10 am, took us to a total of 4 vineyards and then dropped us off at 6pm
We paid an extra $15 and at the 3rd vineyard (pugliese) they brought us a "gourmet" lunch to eat under the weeping willow (we pre-ordered it)
We had SOOO much fun. From talking to others, I think we got a pretty good deal - $115 pp and the tasting fees were included. We used wine

Re: Winery Questions?
one of my friends just asked me this today....this is exactly what I wrote to her:
My girls from HS do this every fall but a few college friends came down two weekends ago and I booked with LI vineyard tours: http://livineyardtours.com/Default.asp
for a 6 passenger limo is was a total of 119 per person. We got 8 hours or 5 wineries, which ever happened first. All taxes, gratuity and vineyard fees are in that cost. We went to: Pindar Marth Clara Pugliese borghese Macari
(they do switch up place sometimes....I had never been to Borghese or Macari with them before)
All very good!! We ate lunch at Pugliese but Martha Clara is also another good spot to rest and eat. (we packed our own picnic lunch...bought a bottle of wine from Pugliese)
Plus our driver did stop at briermeres farm on the way home and so I could get the apple crisp pie....they are the best damn thing on this planet!

We used them for our jack n jill bach party last summer. We had a great experience. The lunch option they offer is actually very yummy, too!

Yup, there are a *few* wineries that will not allow limos without reservations (some not at all). If you have your heart set on certain wineries, be sure to ask the company ahead of time or give the winery a call.

A few?? I drive by them and most say "no limos, buses or groups without reservation"

Re: Winery Questions?
Do you mean as a package?
In the past, we just booked the limo for the day and split it between all the people going.
Last time I went it was $35 I think each and there were abotu 15 of us
