Wine to stop contractions?
I was in the hospital today, having contractions/cramping. My dr suggested that I have about 4 oz. of wine to try to relax my uterus. Has anyone tried this? Did it work?
I am not a wine drinker, but if the dr had suggested some Malibu I would be

Yes.....
When I was pregnant with the twins it was suggested that I have a small glass of wine whenever I was highly stressed or crampy b/c it would relax me and hopefully relax the uterus.
My doctor told me that, years ago, they used to tell their patients to have a glass of wine after they had an amnio.

yes one of my friends had pre term contractions and her Dr said a glass of wine every other night.

yes!!!
i was told this by my dr i kept having the contgractions with the twins he said inorder to let me go home i had to promise him id have a glass of wine a nite.. it helps relax things.. it worked for me!!!
