DH has converted old vcr tapes into mpges using some new toy he bought. He was able to play the videos fine until yesterday when some error message comes up--something about lowering the browser security settings or some sort of codec error.

I downloaded some update for him regarding the codec reading and still nothing. and he upgraded to WM 11 and same thing happens.

I am able to play them on my computer fine which is running vista. DH's computer is running XP.

HE has all these stored on a flash drive and then copied them over and now they are not playing correctly. so im not sure if something happened when copying them over? or if its a Windows Media issue.

any advice???
