Windows
We are replacing our front two windows... we would like bay or bow windows... my question is do the windows need to match in style? Could w do one bay and one bow or is that strange looking?

Re: Windows
We did two bays in our house because I like bays better than bows, but also I think it would look a little off having one of each, especially since they are so similar, just a different number of panels. Would the bow be much bigger than the bay? Then it may look OK, since the extra windows would explain the extra width.

Re: Windows
i think that wouldnt look bad at all... eventually we would like to replace our front window with a bay window, and we are going to leave the other 2 windows as regular windows... i've seen that on houses many times!

I think every house I've ever seen with bay/bow windows(s) has regular windows as well. It's hard to not do that. I've just don't recall seeing both a bay and a bow on the same facade, since they are similar style windows, but still noticeably different.
I would try and mock it up somehow. Maybe take a pic of your house, and in Photoshop, put a pic of a bay and a bow on the house. That would give you a pretty good idea of how it would look.
