window sills
Looking for some advice.
The windows in my home office do not have window sills. There is just flat" moulding around each window like a frame. I would like to install a cat perch for my kitty, but need a sill to attach the velcro to. Is creating a window sill as easy as taking a piece of wood and drilling it to the moulding? Or do they sell window sills as a standard thing? Is it hard to install? Nothing fancy needed, just something I can attach the perch to so as to keep my cat happy and off my laptop, office chair, paper, etc.

Re: window sills
It sounds like you can just get some angle brackets and a piece of plywood or wood. Screw the brackets into the shelf wood, and into the flat molding, or below it, depending on the width of the frame, and the height you want the shelf. Make sure whatever you screw into will be able to support the cat jumping up on it.
