Will they check the sex of the baby...
Even if you don't want to know? I'm just curious to know if they write it in your chart.

No my doctor said that they don't write it in your chart so that way there are no slip ups.

My Dr. said if I do not find out at the level 2 thenit will be my last chance b/ci will not have anymore sono's (unless I have to for some reason) and the tech will not write itin thechart, and they will not know either.

My dr said the same.
My dr told me the same thing early in my pregnancy. Then the day before my c-section I was on the phone with her and she made a comment about Father and Son. She tried to cover it but I am convinced she knew....

I have heard that you have to ask them and they will write it in the file, but if you don't ask, they don't always check.

good question........
IMO, I think it's in the chart somewhere but I think it's labled XX or XY instead of boy or girl. That's only my guess. I've never asked.

My Dr. said they don't write it down cause they don't want you to paint the room pink and if they mess up they don't want to be in trouble for repainting

I recently got a copy of all of my records and it says "Male" on the sono reports... we found out though.
