widening driveway

we currently have a driveway that is only 1 car wide and a hige section of grass to the right where many people in our neighborhood extend to and this is our plan as well.
Anyone widen their driveway? Would you mind sharing what you paid?

we just widen ours - i don't know the cost - but you will need a curb cut permit - so you will need a recent survey to show th changes - this permit in the town of huntington took a while to get

it is a good time to talk to paving guys because they are not busy - we got a quote of $2000 to pave our drive way - two car - we already did all the edging work

FYI -

I was told I needed the permit for cutting the surb - NEVER GOT IT and NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES -

and honestly - I am glad I didnt bother - When i called the town they were like oh its xx $$ and i was like wow thats alot of money and the guy was like well i can lower the $$ for you - so its all bogus if you ask me...

depends on how strict your area is and if your going to sell. I am not sure if you put in a double apron if it will raise a red flag when selling.

We have a single paved driveway with a double apron and dirt. We plan on doing the double wide driveway and extending it to the side of the house with no permit since we just purchased the house and we have the apron in place.

My parents paid a lot for their double driveway and new apron but the people across the street didn't go for the variance so eventually they will be busted since our village is strict.
