Wide feet and sandals

DS was just measured as 9W. Last year, he was in wide shoes, too, but I think he was 7.5W... so I just got him an 8 and we were good to go. I am not sure what to do this year. Has anyone seen sandals/water shoes in WIDE? If not, what size would you get? Thanks!

Re: Wide feet and sandals

DS is a 9.5W, and I just ordered these in a 10. Since they are adjustable, I hope that they fit the width well.

Re: Wide feet and sandals

I always find wide widths @ stride rite..sneakers and sandals. I'm pretty sure payless has some styles in wide as well. Sears also has a big selection of shoes for kids.

My DD has worn these for 2 summers (my mom got both pairs at nordstroms - I think they are $30) They hold us really well, wash well, and are great (DD is wide as well) b.c they are velco straps so they are adjustable. She wears them at the pool, and the beach, or in the back yard to play in the sprinklers. She loves them.

They are called Teva 'Psyclone' Water Sandal - They have both girl and boy ones.

Stride rite and payless have a decent selection of wide widths.

Crocs are pretty wide. They aren't sold as "wide" but they always fit my son.

Re: Wide feet and sandals

I've just gotten wide (well in our case xw) sandals from stride rite.
Totally worth the money imo. You can throw them in the wash and they come out like new.
