Crock Pot 7 quart

Dh got me a 7 quart crock pot for Christmas, does anyone have one?

All the recipes I see are for 3-5 quart crocks. Should I be addig more liquid to make up for the bigger pot?

I made a pot roast and it came out on the dry side I was wondering if it had to do with the size of the pot.

I have a 6 qt and yes, I have to add more liquid. And also things seem to cook a lot faster than what it says in my cookbooks.
