Why does this process make you question EVERYTHING?
I'm on day 4 of stims (tonight will be the fourth dose). Docs office called and lowered my dosage saying my E2 was high and said I'll likely start Ganirelix by Wed. This is totally different than my first fresh cycle...which failed...and which I've questioned protocol for ever since....and now that my protocol isn't the same as it was the first time I'm questioning why it's not.

Re: Why does this process make you question EVERYTHING?
Your response in every cycle varies. I questioned everything constantly when finally my last cycle I decided to just throw my hands up and let the doctor worry about it. I called it my 'stress less' cycle and decided that reading into everything and questioning everything got me nowhere. I'm not the one with the doctor degree, he is.. I just had 12+ medicated cycles under my belt while my dr had 1000+. You just have to put your faith in the dr and do your best to relax! YESSS easier said than done!!!

Re: Why does this process make you question EVERYTHING?
In the back of my mind I know you guys are all right and I should stop thinking about it...but in the front of my mind the questions don't stop. I'm trying to stay positive and look for silver linings...ie: last night I was thinking the reduced amount of meds means I won't need to order more which means no additional co-pay or $ taken from my lifetime max. Next time I start questioning I'll pull up this thread as a reminder!

being poked in so many places and ur privates treated as objects for poking unceremoneously AND on top of that getting injected with all kinds of stuff isnt easy to say the least. I was too questioning everything and anything, but in the end what really matters is that all of this is for something beyond important. what little discomfort compared to being a mom? also every protocol is different as everyone said. this just means ur doc is trying everything and trying to find the right thing for ur body. dont be down

You are right - the ends justifies the means and that is always #1 in my mind. To be honest - i don't even mind the poking and prodding - guess I've gotten used to it by now. What I LOATHE is the unknown and the should have could haves....
