Why does it take so friggin long for Hautelook to mail items?
10-14 days? That's insane. Gilt Groupe sends stuff right out and I get it the same week. What gives, Hautelook? If they keep it up I'm not shopping there anymore

I *think* that it's because hautelook doesn't have the merchandise on hand until after you place your order.
like they have an agreement with say like stila - stila promises x number of each product that HL wants to sell but stila doesn't ship out any of that stock until the sale closes.
i could be wrong but if you want, i can get the exact answer tomorrow.

That's exactly what it is.
Hautelook sends the stuff out in a normal time frame. But first they have to wait for the items to be sent to them.
I read a whole disclaimer on it the first time I purchased something..
It is annoying.. but at least they state that it will take a long time.

I didn't read the disclaimer my company is working with them so i was going to ask my analyst friend to tell me the answer

Why does it take so long for me to get my HauteLook order?
Our core values revolve around offering our members authentic merchandise from as many brands as possible at the best prices anywhere. One way for us to achieve that objective is by not taking possession of the inventory until after a sale. It does mean, however, that it takes a little longer for us to get your order to you. The average shipment takes 10-14 business days from the time you place your order until the time you receive it. We do everything in our power to decrease the time from order to delivery.
