Why do older people.....
Why do older people think they know more than you do?
I was in Target today and DD was in her stroller and started to cry. I see that there is an older lady looking at me and making her way to me. As I was taking DD out of her stroller she says to me" She looks hungry". She then proceeded to get closer and asked if I had a bottle? ummmm...I told her that she wasn't hungry b/c she just ate and thank you for the advice. I walked away before she said anything else

Ugh- I just dealt with this at a bridal shower.
"Her feet are cold, why don't you have socks on her?"
"She looks hungry (this was literally 5 minutes after she ate."
"Did you burp her enough- she seems gassy?"
"Why do you have socks on that child, it's AUGUST!"

UGH! I hate that! It happens all the time to me!
I don't think it helps that I look younger than I am - so I find that older people tend to watch me very carefully....like they think I'm too young to be caring for a baby!
Luckily, Lily is pretty well-behaved when we're out in public!
I don't understand why strangers say anything other than "Your baby is adorable" and then walk away. It's not their business!

I know how you feel!! I HATE the association of crying with being hungry. I know when my child is hungry thanks! Even people I'm friends with do this.
