Why did you get an umbrella stroller?
My DS is 11 months. We have an uppababy Cruz that I love. It's some what low profile for a full size full feature stroller. Initially I didn't see the need for an umbrella but now I can start seeing how it would convenient for keeping in my car or taking on vacation. If you have one why did you get one and which one do you have? I'm considering the uppababy glite or gluxe

Why did you get an umbrella stroller?
We planned on taking my DD into the city, so I wanted a more compact stroller. As soon as I got the umbrella stroller I stopped using my other stroller. It's so much smaller and lighter. I bought a used MacLaren.

i wanted a lightweight stroller to take in and out of my trunk when we went places like the mall, etc. I have a Maclaren.

Why did you get an umbrella stroller?
I love my umbrella stroller. So much easier to take in/out of trunk, more convienient, lightweight, etc. I have a Maclaren.

Why did you get an umbrella stroller?
I bought mine for when I am in the city and take the subway etc. There are not always elevators or even escalators so I wanted something lightweight.
We ended up using it for everything.

I got an umbrella stroller when my DS was 6 months old and we drove 3 hours away to visit friends and I forgot our stroller at home! So we went out and bough one, the Chicco liteway. Honestly it's my least favorite stroller to use and I personally consider it a waste but I know plenty of people who live their umbrella stroller so it could be just me!

I got one to use for everyday errands for DD. Lightweight and less room in the trunk.

I got one because after only a few uses I got so sick of the bigger stroller... Even though it was one of the more compact and light ones on the market, and very pricey, I just didn't care for it. When I spoke to the customer service they offered me a store credit for it bc I was unhappy and it was pretty much brand new. So, I took it and bought an umbrella... A Maclaren, and I love it so much. I used the difference in credit on food and diapers and other stuff.
I also liked the baby jogger baby luxe vue... That is a nice umbrella stroller also.
I only use the Maclaren now. I'll never go back! I should have just done this from word go after I was done with the snap and go.

Much lighter. Easier to get in and out of the car. Easy to fly with and have the travel bag to gate check. It fully reclines, huge sun canopy. Just so much easier than our full size.

because the only other stroller we had was a jogging stroller. It was heavy and not practical for taking out to community locations. It was nearly impossible for me to open a store door and navigate into the store with the jogging stroller. It was just too long. I also couldn't fit down crowded isles. Carters used to laugh at me for hitting their displays. I felt like I was in a city trying to nudge through a crowd. "Excuse me, sorry, pardon me,"
DD also doesn't find it terribly comfortable. The umbrella stroller is great for the malls, light weight, and DD can nap in it.

we have the g-luxe and LOVE it! i wanted something lightweight that i could get in and out of the trunk easily and it's perfect! i also used it to travel with DS when he was around 7 months old :)

Why did you get an umbrella stroller?
I have a bugaboo which I absolutely LOVE. However for quick trips in and out of the car (grocery store, CVS, dr's visits, dancing school for my older DD) I use my umbrella. I have an Uppa baby g Lux I like a lot. I still use my bugaboo for the mall, long walks etc

Originally, to handle the lirr and subways, but it has claimed permanent status in our trunk since getting it. Takes up less room in there and a cinch to get out! Love the uppababy glux.

Why did you get an umbrella stroller?
I wanted a lightweight stroller. My full size 1 is bulky, heavy and at the time I had a car which it didn't fit into unless I took the seat out of it and put it on the front seat. It was SOOO annoying.
I own a truck now and Im still happy I did it. Its just so much lighter and easier to use.
It opens easily, my mother and mother in law have no issues when they need it.
I honestly barely use it now but for long walks or places with lots of walking, long day at the beach, vacas that's what I use it for.

Why did you get an umbrella stroller?
I got a free one from Babies R Us with some purchase. I hardly ever used it. I hated the fact that it had no basket, that anytime you hung something on the back and your child got out it would tip over, and there is no recline. I used a one hand fold lightweight stroller until DD was too big for strollers.

We got the umbrella because I hated the graco stroller I have. I love my uppababy gluxe1 it was so easy to travel with and used it so frequently..I now alternate between my jogger and the umbrella. For #2 I'm getting a better everyday stroller and maybe get rid of the graco.. Keeping the jogger because I run and it has a higher weight limit- ds is 46 lbs at nearly 3.

We have the Uppa Cruz also and it's awesome, but we got the Uppa G-Lite when we flew for a vacation.
We now primarily use the umbrella stroller for outings and travel and only use the Cruz for walks in the neighborhood.

I bought a cheapo babies r us umbrella stroller like $5 since i forgot my stroller one day... i very rarely use it but it is nice to have such a compact stroller when i need.

Why did you get an umbrella stroller?
The cheapo one we have was a free gift from a BRU purchase. It's rarely used and more like just a spare in DHs car "just in case".
