Why can't people.....
THINK before they speak? We go out to dinner with my MIL tonight and she says upon seeing me for the first time in a month "well you've gained quite a big of weight since I last saw you"
I haven't gained more than what the docs have told me, I'm right on target and yes, I know I was already overweight when we got pregnant. Need I be reminded? I was a little depressed about things this week as it was-I hope she feels better getting that off her chest

people are very insensitive i had someone tell me the other day that they didnt know i was PG they thought i had just gaid a little weight.. sigh people just dont know when to shut up!

Dont let it get you down. I think most MIL's have they stupid comment factor automatically built in to them.

I call it OPEN MOUTH INSERT FOOT SYNDROME..for some reason people feel the need to comment upon my appearance and they never really get it right. Fortunitlely I am surrounded by people that love me and I dont have to contend with anyone catty or mean (for the most part) so I just take any bizarre comments with a grain of salt....
I think people feel that they have to say something and it just comes out the wrong way.

I know how you are feeling...Last weekend my mil greeted me by saying "Hey Big Girl"....then my GMIL said..."someone swallowed a watermelon"...
I am not even that huge!

A couple weeks ago I saw my grandmother for the first time since Easter and she said, "Are you sure you're not having twins???" Um hello.....At that point I only had gained 6lbs!!!
It's really hard to let things go. That's what I am trying to do!
