Why antibiotics?
I am going in for day 3 bloodwork tomorrow and when I called for an appointment I was told I would get a perscription for antibiotics as well. I am having a water sono on January 7th. I am with Dr. K from LIIVF. I switched to him in May when he did my surgery -myomectomy- I've have 4 IUI's with my previous doc and have never been on antibiotics.
What are they for?

The antibiotics are to avoid infection from the saline in your uterus. They are also given to you and your DH to get rid of any bacteria you may be passing back and forth.

I was on them too, but only me. DH didn't take antibiotics.
