Whoops! A pancake fiasco!
I got the crazy idea to make the girls shape pancakes this morning for breakfast.
This is normally something reserved for a weekend! We just don't have enough time to pull it off on the weekend.
But DD6 woke up chipper and ontime this morning so I thought I'd make a fun breakfast for them.
I make the pancake batter, heat up the pan, pour the batter into a large ziploc bag and cut the tip off so that I can pipe pancake butterflies into the pan...
I made 2 pancakes sucessfully...onto the 3rd...(I make extra and freeze them)
And just then the bag rips and the whole bag of batter plops into the pan!
What we ended up with was a gigantic, thick, 12" round pancake with a butterfly imprint on one side.
Lol, of course the 3 year old wanted to eat the whole thing!
So yea... lesson learned. Save the pancake shapes for the weekend when I'm not rushing around like a lunatic!
