who is wearing a splint after pregnancy?

Although i hear that is pretty easy to lose the weight is the toning of the tummy that might be difficult. I was reading into this and thought maybe i should invest on a splint.

I read this on a website not sure how accurates but it recommends wearing a splint. Did anyone else hear about this:


diastasis recti rehabiliation and prevention. (This refers to the separation of the outermost layer of the abdominal muscles that results from pregnancy. Learning the Tupler Technique will help you prevent, or will at least minimize the occurrence of a separation of the abdominal muscles, which leads to a "mummy tummy" post-baby, and weakens the support for the organs and lower back, wearing a splint as well.

I was thinking of trying the belly bandit as well. I read that the new bamboo one is the best after c-sections I am just trying to find a better price on it. I am spending a fortune on prenatal cradles and belly bandits etc. I would like to feel like I got a deal!

I got the medela post-partum support band (velcro) and I wore it for about a week and it really did help me feel better! Everything is so loose and jiggly at first!

I could probably use to still wear it (DD is 18 days old today) but it's a little too big, believe it or not, and that makes it feel bulky.

If you're up for trying, I don't think something to hold you back in post-birth is a bad idea!

I just ordered the belly bandit!

I went with the bamboo, which is best for C-sections.

I've done alot of research on it-from what I gather, you end up needing 2 different sizes, because your stomach continues to shrink week after week.

Normally I would order the medium based on the sizing they recommend..but on Amazon the comments were that it ran a bit big..so I ordered a small. BC of my C-section I won't start using it for like a week or 2 after anyway. Hopefully this will prevent needing 2 different ones.

I will update you on my progress as I wear it!!
