Who here lives in or around Charlotte,NC?
Hi everyone!
If you live in or around Charlotte can you please let me know the area and if there are any new construction developments around your area?
I lived in Charlotte from 1992-1999 and am considering moving back and would love to get some feedback on the housing and job market--preferably Marketing/Advertising.
I am also going to post this on home in the hopes that this will not be moved.

i lived there for 5 years.
i guess it depends on what you want...i loved living in lala land. i call it that because i had it made.
i love ballantyne. lots of new construction.
we bought 15 mins further south in waxhaw. tons of new construction.
you can get a usda loan.
no money down no pmi.
not sure with the job market.

they just put a trader joes in piper glen.
ardrey kell and the fountains...tons of construction.
dh was relocated to jacksonville nc.
i would have adjusted fine if i went from ny to here.
but ballantyne was wonderful. i hope to return there one day.

We live just outside Charlotte, in Indian Trail. Piper Glen is a beautiful area. Not sure about the job market in that field, though.

I do! But we just moved down here 2.5 weeks ago so I probably won't be too much help. The housing market is really good right now. We're renting but there are a ton of houses for sale here, as well as new constructions and it is truly a buyers market. The job market unfortunately isn't so great. I would try and get a job before coming down here because I've sent out about 25 applications and met with a recruiting agency and haven't heard anything back yet. Granted, my field is not the same as yours so maybe you'll have better luck. Good luck!
