Who can I donate clothes to that actually uses them for clothing?
I've heard that a lot of places turn them into rags. I have 2 big leaf bags of baby boy clothing 0-12 months that I don't need. It's all wrong season stuff from DS#1 that I can't use for DS#2. There are also jackets and hats and stuff too. I would like to donate to someone who can use them who can't afford baby clothes rather then them being turned into rags or something.
Where can I take this stuff?

I know that Salvation Army actually sells clothes that you donate. What I also like to do--although in this case you can not right off the donation--is post on craigs list under "free items for babies and kids" announcing that I have a bag of clothes for such and such size and gender and give it to the first person who replies. I bet you that people who go on craigs list in search of free baby clothes are probably in dire need of them.

LIF or I would suspect women's shelters or a program for teen mom's would be your best bet.
I am not sure of any off hand, but maybe one of the other ladies on here knows.

The salvation army has clothing stores. I think they also pick up if you make an appointment

I give a lot of clothing to friends with kids younger than mine, my local salvation army, or my temple rummage sale. I would ask around at your church or temple. Sometimes they know of a family in need as well.
