Who believes in Karma?
I had a be-yotch friend steal a idea for a business right out from under me..(she was soppose to do it with me) did it on her own and on the same damn street I wanted to do it!
I found out about it through a email about it opening!
Do u really think karma is a *****?
I'm way too old to be spiteful but the ideas going through my head make me feel 15 again...
did I say she was a *****?????

as much as a rag she is I wouldnt wish anything bad to anyone--but I did daydream i slashed her tires..even though I would never.
I just wonder if what comes around goes around...probably not...
just like when they say rain on your wedding is good luck....

What goes around comes around. The only problem is that it can take years for something to come back to someone. At least that is my belief.
That said, I have no explanation for bad things happening to good people--and that sure does happen.

I don't believe in Karma.
I believe people have good things & bad things happen through most of their own doing or by pure biology.
I do believe that the people you step on as you rise up the ladder are the ones quickest to kick you on your way down.
Rather than not say anything & let it bother you, why not tell her & let it bother her?

I agree so many times it looks like bad things happen over and over to good people. I try to tell myself that it will work out eventually, that people will be punished/rewarded in the end, but that's hard to believe sometimes (and sometimes it's too long to wait!), so sometimes I do still find myself hoping that karma will turn things around for some people, and bite other people in the ***!

I believe you reap what you sow. I've seen this happen with people who have been negative in life and made others feel like less and with people who have lifted people up even when they were down. Eventually, everyone gets what they deserve. It may not happen in a short period of time. It may in fact take years, but, it will happen.

this is the reason so many people don't believe: it can take a long time.
i'll give a quick example:
my mother's cousin cheated/took my mom's boyfriend.
they had the big church wedding, bought a big house... so forth and so on. they even had a baby or two.
years down the road... the man had been hiding from all the child support he owed other women that he was deported. let me just say, they're living in a shack in the dominican republic and he can no longer practice medicine
also...
i'm so sorry that a "friend" did this to you.

I believe in karma, but the Buddhist version of karma.
The way Buddhists think of karma is this:
Each lifetime, you pay off a debt of not just the previous life, but ALL your previous lives. So, if you were an axe murderer 5 lifetimes ago, you have one hell of a debt to pay off, so even if in this lifetime you are a wonderful person, something bad may happen to you or your family. This is the Buddhist explanation of why bad things happen to good people and vice versa. It was all from some previous lifetime...
But, to be less drastic - every action you do has a consequence in future lifetimes. Do something good, and you may not get repaid in this lifetime (but you may) but you will be repaid in future lifetimes. Same thing with doing something bad.
When someone wrongs you, hurts you, etc - it is actually a gift, because they are paying off some of your debt - of course, its hard to see it that way, but if you do, then thats good - but if you retaliate, well then, you generate more negative karma that you will have to deal with in future lifetimes...
I'm no buddha by any stretch of the imagination in the way I behave, but it helps to have this perspective in life to keep yourself and your actions in check....
