whining/temper tantrums at 8 months?
DS is a very good baby but there have been some occasions recently where he has mini-tantrums (kicking his feet and whining/crying) - this especially happens on the changing table and in his high chair.
obviously he is way too young for time outs, so i have been telling him "no whining" or "mommy can't hear you when you whine" and then i try and distract him/redirect him.
i am not trying to discipline him yet, i totally get that he won't understand that, but is there something else i can do other than distract him and then redirect him to something else?

Welcome to my world. DS went through the same exact thing at around 8/9 months. It started when he was starting to rock on all 4s scoot/crawl.
I give him a toy/bottle of desitin, etc. I think it's just because they know they can move around (crawl) and they don't want to be stationary anymore.

I just ignore it most of the time.
Or while changing him, i give him something to hold so he stays still.
