Which teeth

come in first?

Is it different for everyone???

Im always sticking my fingers (which are always cleaned 1st ) and I *think I feel something up top... but thought bottom usually came in 1st...???

My poor babys teeth hurt soooooooo bad.... And I feel terrible! He just cant get any relief, and he's really being a trooper... But I see so much discomfort in his face!

I hate giving med. (tylenol) but its the only thing that works... I wont give orajel, and Im yet to try teething tablets...

He rarely takes a teething ring, however I have found if I take a small wet washcloth and put it in the freezer, he likes to chew on it... ( I have to help him out a little)

Anyone have some "old fashioned" remedies... or any remidies that they have found successful... I just wanna take away his pain

My ped said the bottom front two. I don't know if that's 100% true all the time or not.

Sarah's bottom 2 came in first, then the top 2. I've noticed that sometimes it looks like one is coming in (the white bump shows up) but then another one pops in instead.

I usually give her a cold washcloth or a teether to chew on, and if she keeps waking up in pain then I'll give her Tylenol. I don't like to give it since I can't be sure what's really wrong since she can't speak. Orajel did nothing for us but make her even madder.

And for "alternative" remedies, my grandmother told me to rub rum on her gums. We passed, but I know a lot of people give it a try. It's supposed to numb the gums for longer than orajel, which did nothing for us.

The one and only time I tried orajel Ryan was soooooo pizzed!!!

I heard the rum thing before- Dont think Im that daring (esp. since Im scared to give orajel...lol)

Andrew's 2 bottom came in at the same time when he was 5 months old. Then he got the top 2, then two more bottom, then 2 more top. He has almost all his teeth, except molars, by his first birthday.

Nate's bottom 2 came in first, then one more at the bottom and then the top 4 came in at the same time.

My son got them all at the same time.. lol.. at least thats what it seemed!! He got all four of his front teeth within two days of themselves... and quite honestly (I am such a bad mommy) without checking his baby book I dont remember which one was the ABSOLUTE first..

Jared got the two middle ones on the bottom first. I keep poking my finger in there to see if the tops are coming in yet!

Jesse got his two front bottom teeth first, then two top middle teeth and then another one on the top - five so far.

He likes that vibrating teether. And we give him Motrin which seems to work better than Tylenol for him.

Jule's has one bottom and two top. My doctor suggested Motrin for her...

Usually the lowers come in first but I am a dental assistant and have seen some children uppers come in first. everyone is different and sometimes they break tradition :)

I used orajel or some health food teething tablets that my sister gave me. Another thing that worked is the silver rattles.

I wish I knew where it was...

Both my kids got their bottoms in first.
Maddie had one tooth on the bottom for the longest time - she looked like a pumpkin.
