Re: Which pack n play and why?

for me. .. I used it strictly for traveling and so the changing table & the mobile were so not necessary for me. But if you are in a two level house and plan on using the pack n play inside, then I would think the changing table part is great. Mobile was just useless.

ETA- we have the Pack 'n Play® Element™ Playard by Graco® - Morgan. totally forgot it had a diaper holder too, again. I didn't need it.

For me, I really just wanted a basic pack n play with no frills. But I also wanted one in a pattern I liked, so I ended up getting one that had a newborn napper and a changing table. I probably wont use either. I imagine though that if you have a 2 story house the changing table would definitely be useful.

Re: Which pack n play and why?

I wanted a pack and play that had room for baby to actually play, so I registered for the tot bloc. It has great reviews on amazon.com, and serves it's function. Plus it has little toys that are attached inside.
All reviews say it folds up easy too so I can bring wherever I need to.

It all depends upon what you're using it for. For me, the most important features were a changing station and a little shade thing because we plan on bringing LO to a park, picnic, parties outside, etc. so she needs her shade and a clean place to change her!

Re: Which pack n play and why?

We got the one with the nb sleeper and the diaper changing table on it -- TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. I wish we'd gotten a regular one without those things. We had wanted DD to sleep in the PnP in our bedroom, but she sleeps in the fp newborn rocker still (she's 3 months). She doesn't like to be swaddled (not since day 6) and her legs still kick too much for her to sleep flat so we'll transition her to her crib eventually then we'll use the PnP for travel. But I have those waterproof pads that I lay out when we change her, so the changing table was useless. DH never thought the nb sleeper was stable enough so we didn't bother using it at all. We have it set to the bassinet level still which is nice for when she's watching her mobile (I set it up on the PnP for now since we don't use her room) or when I need to run and do something and put her somewhere safe. But really, frills on a PnP are kinda worthless. Live and learn I guess. $50 I could've spent on something else.

We got the one with the newborn napper and changing table and it has been a godsend!!!! We live in a 2 story house. Our bedroom and nursery are upstairs. After 3 weeks of walking up and down the stairs to change DS we set up the pack n play in the living room and its great! DS LOVES to sleep in the napper. It vibrates and he will sleep 3 hours in it at a time.

Really depends on what your specific needs are.

We live in a 2 bed apartment, all on one floor, so we just went for the basic model - no changing attachment, no newborn napping station.

We have one with a napper and small changing table - i found the changing too small - he outgrew the weight limit/szie very fast - i did have him sleep in the napper for a while but he did better in the bassinet part

it was nice to have the vibrating part on the bassinet ( it can move between the napper and bassinet feature) -

We had this one with DD#2, it was AWESOME. Everyone that came to my house was obessed with it. It is great for kids to play in because it is a lot bigger.

Same for us. Got the basic one since I know I wouldn't use the newborn napper or changer.

Re: Which pack n play and why?

We got the basic one people posted above bc we will be in a small apartment and don't need the frills. However I put it on our amazon registry bc they had more colors and patterns for the simple one which I liked better

We have Hataway... couldn't live w/o it! The living room is our base of operations, and DS gets changed in the changer and naps in the napper. the music and vibration is a nice touch.
