Which option is best for a 4-year old?
Which do you think would be better for a feisty 4 year old, on the right path developmentally but tends to be stubborn and bossy needing extra redirecting to stay on track:
5 day half-day preschool OR 3 day half-day preschool with swim lessons, gymnastics and karate on the off days?
I can't financially support extra activities with the 5 day prek tuition. Both options are essentially the same expense. I am not sure what is best to prepare her for kindergarten, both confidence and skills wise.

I am a fan of getting them used to 5 days in school but if you can't 5 days plus an activity. I would consider doing the 3 half days plus the other activities. Swimming is so important.

I would do 5 half days. School would offer more structure/discipline for a feisty 4 yr old. It would also better prepare him for kindergarten.

I would agree with this. I would think school would offer more benefits than all the extra activities.

Which option is best for a 4-year old?
5 days. It's more of a routine, and gets them ready for a full week of school

Which option is best for a 4-year old?
I'm going with 3 days. I'm a teacher and just think that she has all her life to be in school so why push her at 4.

Which option is best for a 4-year old?
BTDT with a fiesty 4 year old. He was in preschool from 915-115 every day. We also had extra activites one night a week and on Saturday. I would say that school helped more than the private activities. They do not have the structure or discipline to keep a child in line at that age. My son went to gymnastics and they would ignore him as he ran around the gym and did his own thing for 1.5 hours. What was I paying for? Stick with the 5 days of school.
