I am looking to get a new car and I am torn between 5

2. vw jetta
3. toyota celica
4. nissan maxima

Jetta. One of my best friends had a Jetta and traded it in for the Passat, and said the Passat really wasn't worth the price difference.
I'd get a Jetta because I think they are cute, but my DH has a Maxima and loves it. It's his second and he has had no problems. It feels a little big when I drive (I'm little), so I'd prefer a Jetta for me.

My mom has a passat and having driven it before I can say it was not designed for someone who is 5'6'' because no matter where the seat is that car has awful sight lines.
The jetta is an ok car - looks cute.
I love toyotas and nissans and either are great.

I have a passat, love the car, HATE the service at the dealers.....I'm talking MAJOR problems with them even for simple things.  I will never buy a VW again! Too much headache with them!

welp- I can only speak of two of the 5 listed sort of- I had a lexus = toyota and loved it and the service and I have now an infiniti fx45 = nissan and again love the truck and the service.
I "heard' that VW is crappy- but I dont know first hand.
either toyota or nissan you cant go wrong!
