Which hospital
did you deliver in?
DH and I are starting to plan out all the particulars. I'm not PG nor are we TTC but would just like to know if anyone used Nassau Medical Center as their place for delivery. SIL works in ER admitting and rooting for us to go there.
I need to go with a hospital that allows midwifes (I'm planning to do all natural). And Nassau has the birthing bath which I thought was nice.
Anyway, I would appreciate everyone's advice/input. TIA!!!

Winthrop...I had a really good experience there. Everyone was sooo great. I would definitely recommend them, although I don't know if they have a birthing bath.

The only hospital I know of that has the birthing tub is Nassau County Medical Center.

I delivered my son with a midwife at Stony Brook, I loved the midwives and the hospital. I delivered my daughter at South Nassau with a doctor and I wasn't crazy about the hospital or the doctor.

To the best of my knowledge Winthrop has 2 midwives that deliver there. One works with Dr. Blinderman's group the other works with Dr. Plancher. They don't have birthing baths but the corner birthing suites have bathtubs to aid in your labor. I find that patients rarely use them. Oh and from what I hear the nurses there are great!

Stonybrook and they were great but next time I am going with LIJ or Winthrop because I will be living in Nassau County then.
