which camera in delivery room?
Ill be having a Csection (and will hopefully make it to my schedule date!). Should dh bring the big dslr, our digital point and shoot or just use the phone's camera?

which camera in delivery room?
As much as I would love DH to have our DSLR I think I am going to just man him with the point and shoot. I think things will be too hectic and probably a little overwhelming to want to use the "big" camera. Have him snap a few with his cell too just so he can post them to FB so we can see pictures of these babies!

Point and shoot! I was going to give dh my older Dslr since it has auto feature but idk if he'd get it. We also took cell pics to post on fb. I still haven't downloaded any point and shoot or Dslr photos. Have him bring the Dslr for taking pics in your hospital room though.

Definitely at least bring a point and shoot. We brought our DSLR and it was easy enough for the nurses to take pictures of us with the baby after he was born. They've got to be used to all sorts of cameras by now. lol

I was wondering this too - I am hoping to have a natural delivery, but we shall see.
Are you worried about leaving your DSLR in the room while you go to the operating room? I was concerned about it getting stolen.....I'm delivering in the city, so maybe I am just more paranoid?
I was thinking of just bringing the point and shoot which can fit in DH's pocket and then having him get the DSLR when we are settled in the room the next day. But I really want to capture those special first moments on my good camera.

I had a c/s with DD and DH used our point and shoot. I am having a c/s this time too and he will use the point and shoot and take some pics with his cell phone to send to people right away.

both times dh had the point and shoot - for the pictures when they are cleaning up the baby.....
then camera phone was after to snap picture to send family.

Does your point and shoot do video too??
For my last c-section, I had DH take the point and shoot, that way he could grab photos and video... then I had the DSLR in the car, which he brought up later for us to take more photos in the room for the next few days...
