I've always used Huggies with all of my kids. I tried Pampers once and threw away the rest of the package they leaked to badly.

I actually don't think you can plan this. I think it depends on what fits your baby and doesn't leak.

I was talking to my SIL in about this. For her son she used one brand but for her daughters she had to use another. One leaked, another had a reaction with the baby's skin. She said it's all trial and error.  I would like to try Pampers and Huggies and see how both work.

Right now I use Swaddlers on Jiavana and love them!!! She leaks with Huggies. I also like the Pampers points!

me too.... I tried Huggies and Luvs once, they feel kinda rough to me. DH swears they were generic diapers.

We started with pampers, that's what they used at my hospital. She did well with them and still does.
We tried huggies but they were too narrow for her coolie, and leaked HORRENDOUSLY! Yick!
I think it's so trial and error, it's hard but you just have to wait and see what their hip/coolie/thigh area is like before buying/stockig up on one brand

It all depends on the baby. I use BJ brand diapers because I don't think it's worth paying a cent more than I have to for something my daughter poops into.

I agree that it is all trial and error, but I have heard the least problems with pampers. (what I use)
although if huggies works for you - there are definitely more coupons/deals for them - so that would be better for the pocketbook

I used Pampers newborn when I had my son but it kept leaking for some reason. Then we tried Huggies newborn and it didn't leak at all. But after the newborn stage we've been using mostly Pampers.

I use Costco diapers for DD who is 6 mos. Have never had a problem with them. They aren't as soft as more expensive brands though. I use Costco wipes too.
