Re: Which Baby Bottles do you recommend?

I recommend the Born Free plastic bottles. I use them with both of my DDs. I did use the Playtex dropins, which were super convenient, except I didn't like the fact that I couldn't tell exactly how much DD drank since the plastic shrinks up making it very hard to read the ounces. My DH loves the Gerber bottles; not alot of parts and very easy to clean. He used those with his first 3 kids. HTH! Chat Icon

Dr. Brown's - IF you have a dishwasher!!!

I liked the plastic - this way when DS was ready to feed himself, I wasn't afraid he'd break it.

2 of my friend's kids had "issues" and switched to Dr. Brown's - so I just started w/them. Nothing to compare it to.

I also got the regular sized ones - not the wide --- fit in the dishwasher better.

we used avent for #1, but since then the whole BPA concern happened, so after #2 was born we switched to Born Free. They seemed to be just like Avent, so it worked for us.

I recommend Dr Browns but that's because they are the only bottles that I have used...and I don't have a dishwasher Chat Icon But they work well and both kids had reflux so the peds always recommended Dr Browns.

Love love love the drop ins. I recycle the liners so it's not as bad for the environment as it would be if I just threw them away. So easy!

Re: Which Baby Bottles do you recommend?

We started with Avent, went to Drop Ins, then to the ventaires....Now we the good old old fashion Gerber bottles. DS had issues latching on to the Avent and drop in nipples. So we went to the regular size ventaires. But with no dishwasher, washing 40 bottle parts a day was a PITA....So last month I bought Gerber bottles and DS has had no problems with them.

ITA. We started on these. I tried a few different bottles though before I discovered DD's milk protein allergy as I thought maybe it was the bottles that were making her scream, and I also really liked the Playtex Ventaire - great for her gas issues in the beginning, but the flow was way too slow and DD would fall asleep after like an ounce because it was so much work for her. A good friend's baby was having issues and switched to Dr. Brown's and found they helped her DS a lot too.

Re: Which Baby Bottles do you recommend?

I liked Dr Browns and Born Free. At the time, the Dr Browns wide neck were not available in BPA free. So after buying a whole set of Dr Browns, the whole BPA thing blew up, and I felt guilty and I switched to Born Free.

Re: Which Baby Bottles do you recommend?

When DS was an infant he was lots of gas and colic.

I had Dr. Brown's at first but it was not doing much and it's a PITA to clean up all the part.

I switched to the Playtex drop ins and was sold. Convenient and by "squeeze" the air out it was so much better for DS.

we got the born free glass (they are vented).

we also have the plastic tommee bottles BUT DD HATES them...they drip all over. it seems like she gets more milk on her than in her mouth.

also...DH has dropped the glass bottle and it hasn't broken.

My first DD used Dr. Browns. I didn't mind all the parts. This baby is using the Tommee Tippee bottles.

Re: Which Baby Bottles do you recommend?

I started off with avent but they leaked. I got the warmer, sterilizer, pacifiers, the whole set of avent. it was a waste.

DS had some issues feeding and I bought every bottle I could find.

At the end, we ended up with the cheap evenflo bottles. That is what the baby nurse helped us feed DS with.
