The Mangano Funeral Home on Deer Parl Ave in Deer park, The Upper Room Christian World Center on Deer Park Road in Diz hills, RTI Riegal Transportion in West Babylon and Riegal Warehouse in West Babylon are all accepting donations of Food, Clothing , blankets, books, basically anything...They are filing 3, 48 foot trailers leaving this WEDNESDAY for Baton Rouge...

The State Legislature in Amityville at 15 albany ave in Amityville 631-854-1111 is collecting non perishable goods from 9am-5pm daily


All Commerce Banks penny machines can be used to donate pennies....a great way to give if you cant afford much....

Thank You for the info...I made a donation this weekend @ the campgrounds my parents work at in Greenport. They were matching your dollar which I thought was great.
Also in Greenport there's a "drop off" point across from the Port Of Egypt.
They need water, food, diapers, etc.
Stop & Shop you can make donations as well at every register.
Thank you for the info on Commerce Bank. I actually planned on using the Penny Machine tomorrow.

Also The Church of the Ascension in Bk
( Willaimsburg) is accepting need based items( toiletries etc...)

Any items that you can provide will be greatly appreciated, and there will be an area in the back of the church where these items can be dropped off before or after weekend services. Anyone wishing to contribute items, but unable to get to church, can call Tim at 347-693-8565 or email at [email protected], and he will pick up for you. The Relief Coordinator has provided a list of items that are desperately needed. Money is not requested, just care packages of the following items:

Toiletries (soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, etc)
Baby Items: baby wipes / disposable diapers/ formula / baby
bottles / baby shampoo / baby blankets >anything for babies
Purell or other sanitizer
Pillows / blankets
T-shirts ( babies to childrens sizes)
Over the counter pain relievers (tylenol, motrin, tums, alka
seltzer, pepto bismol, band-aids, etc)
coloring books / crayons / board games / books (for kids in
shelters)

to Restoration Plaza by the Post Office to mail a care package to the Communidad de Gracia Church in Houston, TX who are taking in and helping Hurricane Katrina refugees. The Pastor’s wife has confirmed that they NEED, will accept and will distribute directly to families Baby Formula, Baby Bottles, and Bottled Water. The care package will go directly to babies being helped at the Communidad de Gracia Church in Houston, TX. They have received a lot of baby clothing but no Baby Formula. The large organizations are only accepting money and not accepting in-kind donations of food, clothing, and goods. The Baby Formula, Baby Bottles, and Bottled Water will go directly to the Communidad de Gracia Church for distribution directly to the Hurricane Katrina victims they are sheltering/helping.

Walk one block to Restoration Plaza
(Fulton Street between New York Ave & Tompkins)
