where to go for
first haircut? preferably in nassua county....DS has never had a haircut and needs one but no idea where we should go. thanks!

I took all my kids for their first haircuts to Zippity Do on Willis Ave in Albertson. It's cute because they give them a certificate and a balloon and the lock of hair. But...it's $25! So now my son goes to a local barber who has some kids chairs like airplane, etc.

We went to Zippity Doo in Syosset. Very cute but yes, a bit pricey. We've gone twice now. They're really great at keeping the kids entertained/distracted and getting it done quickly.

I second Kidz Kuts at the Sunrise Mall. I think they charge $12 for a cut and they have a frequent cutters card (get a stamp for every cut and then one free). Ive been taking my older daughter there since she was 18 months and she is now 4 years old. They are very nice, clean. They seem to have a high turnover rate but I've never had any issues.
