Where to go

for his 1yr old pics??

I was originally going to wait for the school photographer to come to work- since they do a great job- and I get a HUGE discount- BUT this year he will be here when Im on vacation...

Ive been to sears and KK before and wasnt thrilled...

I dont wanna spend too much $$$

and am particularly looking for the traditional #1 pic...

Im thinking Picture People or JCpenny-

thoughts??? Pricing???

I've never been to JCPenny, but I personally feel that Picture People is overpriced. Their packages cost even MORE than KK and you can't choose what sheets you get in the package either. You have to get an 8x10, 2 5 x7s and 8 wallets. I don't like that you're not given options.

I did Jared's 1 years pics at Sears and I thought they came out great. I did JC Penney's for his 3 months..they were pretty good. I have yet to try Kiddie Kandids.

We used Patken for our wedding and I sware the lady told me it was only $30 sitting fee when I asked about family portraits. Of course we never did end up going to them since we havent been back to NY as much as I had planned but maybe it's worth a phone call. We're having the woman who did Miranda's 6 month pictures come to the house again for her 1 year as well. What about Picture People? Do you have them in NY?

JCPenny's is the only place I'd take Andrew to again. We've gotten 2 great sets of pictures there. They really did a nice job and they prices were great! I spent less than $26 and got a ton (I have coupons if you need them, just PM me). The only downside is that there is a 3-7 day wait for the pictures, but worth it if you ask me.

I use to go to PP & KK because Im an instant gratification person with pics. But I recently tried JC Penney and love them. We got so many pictures for the money and the woman who took our pics at the Sunrise Mall was awesome. Especially when I took my 2 yr old for bday pics. Shes a hard one to get to smile on command - she either wont smile or will make a cheesy smile face - but the woman was so good with her, we got some really amazing pictures. That's my fave place now.

I don't believe so. I think the closest one to that JC Penneys is in the South Shore Mall (Bay Shore)

I took Hayley to Sears and bought the sheets of pictures I needed. I thought they were pretty good there (@ Smithaven Mall)
