Where is the cheapest place to buy Alimentum?
The ped said it's more expensive than regular formula so I want to find the best place to buy it.

I've never seen the price vary much from store to store.
The powder ranges from 25.99 to 27.99 (I've never seen it for less) and the RTF bottles range from 8.99-9.99. I would sign up on Similacs website so they send you coupons/checks.
Some insurance companies will cover this formula too. You might want to give yours a call.

Definitely check with your insurance company! James has been on it since Thanksgiving and it's been fully covered - not even a co-pay!
If we had to pay for it out of pocket, I don't know what we'd do

yes, if your insurance covers it that ROCKS! the doctor's office should be able to help you with that. Otherwise, find someone trustworthy on craigslist, check the bottles and the dates. people end up with so much extra when insurance covers it that they often sell it off cheap.

Thanks guys!! The ped said that if it ends up working for him that he would do his best to get the insurance company to pay for it.. Keeping my fingers crossed for both!!

Yes please look into this!!!! My sister got it 100% covered and delivered to her house.

If it does not work for him I put my son on amino acid formula-that was covered by insurance. I paid about $130 a month for a co-pay/co-insurance

I found that BJ's had it the cheapest, but only by a few dollars. Definitely look into insurance covering it though.

When DD was on it, she was covered for the first year fully by our insurance....we got a shipment every month of more than we needed.
DD had some issues and was on formula to about 17 months...we had enough left to last till 14 months, then we were buying...i found that Target was actually the cheapest by-the-bottle...and as someone said, I think BJ's was cheapest by the case...
