Where is MY glow???
All I have is pimples and a complextion that looks worse than when I was 13 or whever I hit puberty. I woke up and looked in the mirror and cried my eyes out because I look horrendous. I dont want to go out in public and I am putting layers of makeup on.  I dont feel beautiful at all. I mean I know it could be worse, I havent thrown up once and the fatigue is lifting a little but still... I feel like a big pimple monster.

dont worry, its just all the horomones in your body going a lil nuts right now, once they adjust to the changes your body is going thru, you'll be fine!

I was all pizza-faced in the beginning. I was freaked b/c I never broke out during my teen years so I was clueless. It went away in the 2nd tri!

Don't feel so bad I went through it too! It finally got better halfway throught. Since I have awful luck it's back now that I'm almost done.

I could have written this!!!  I'm almost 23 weeks, and it's still bad (although it's a little better). I swear, the second I found out I was pregnant, my skin broke out, and hasn't gotten better!!! It's ten times worse than my teenage years. And I hate putting make-up on it b/c I'm sure it doesn't help, but I have to. I used to run out of the house on the weekends w/no make-up on whatsoever, but I insist on make-up before I even run to CVS!!! I didn't have morning sickness either, so I guess it's my trade off, but it still stinks!!! People keep telling me it will get better, but I'm more than halfway there.
I hope it DOES get better for you though!

This is the reason I love LIF and especially the PG board! You have no idea how your stories have cheered me up to know that I am not alone. I used to go out without makeup on the weekends too and now I wouldnt dare. I would scare small children.  But I am hoping the new makeup will help a little and that my hormones calm down a bit.

I'm sure it will get better soon (mine has gotten slightly better, but it's not clear!). I have used Bare Essentials for probably 5+ years, and I love it. I would definitely recommend trying it. I think my skin would be even worse if I used regular foundation instead of B.E. I do have to use a liquid concealer on the pimples before the B.E. though, right now.

My skin was a mess up until halfway through the second trimester. I felt so gross!!

i'm grateful I didn't get morning sickness either but the acne has been terrible. For the first 14 weeks the area next to my mouth (especially the right side) was a mess. Weeks 15-18 it finally cleared up and I actually did have some scarring on the right side that I could cover with makeup. But today I am sitting here at week 19 and they're back again. It's so frustrating because I feel bad enough about how nothing fits anymore and now this.
***but, I am very excited to be having a little baby***

Hang in there it does get better. I never had acne issues my entire life and even before i knew i was pregnant i could not figure out what was wrong with my face. It lasted my entire pregnancy.....but it's all worth it in the end because you realize what your body had to do to produce your children. And it totally goes away after the babies are here.
