where do you keep your makeup?

used to live in a 1 floor apt and now we're in a cape with our bedroom upstairs. the bathroom is much bigger downstairs.....do i keep all my makeup/hair stuff down there vs. the smaller bathroom upstairs? i don't really want it all on my dresser since i have tons! also, what kind of case do you ladies use??

Where do you apply your makeup? The bathroom upstairs or downstairs? Our bedrooms are all upstairs and I use the upstairs bathroom to apply makeup. One of my dressers has a little cabinet so I keep everything in there. I don't think I have a ton of makeup and use one of those 3-drawer plastic things for it. One drawer holds eyeshadow, one holds foundation and all my brushes, the other holds all lip stuff.

I keep it on the back of my toilet in my half bath.

My other bathroom is bigger, but this is where I get ready, so I can do hair & make up while DH showers inteh bigger bathroom. It's also not great to keep your makeup where you shower--too steamy.

Up until 2 yrs ago I had a Kaboodles

Now I use these (I don't have that much makeup)

I have another one that isn't showing up online. Its similar to this one but has smaller sections and sections for lipsticks.

I just keep my daily makeup in a makeup bag that gets transferred from purse to purse, and when I do my makeup at home I just take that bag into whatever bathroom is free. I have a second, smaller bag, that I keep in a closet with my hair stuff, that holds mascara, eyeliner, etc (the stuff I use every day but don't put in my purse) so I just take that into the bathroom I am using as well.

Lastly, I have a much larger makeup bag (something I got for free at a cosmetics counter ages ago) that I keep the "extra" stuff in -- like eyeshadows that I use for going out on the weekends, special events like weddings, etc. Then I just pick and choose what I want from that bag.

I have a makeup bag for my daily stuff, a cup for the brushes and a train case for the stuff I don't use everyday.

I have a drawer in my bathroom that has all makeup in it... the makeup is in a makeup bag that i got for free many many years ago....

I have an addiction to makeup so I have a lot. I have a vanity table in our bedroom. It consists of 2 night tables with 2 drawers each. I normally apply my makeup at it since it's right by a window.

But if it's too dark out, I will take what I am going to use and just carry it to the bathroom. Then I bring it all back.

i have two of these stacked on top of each other under my sink in the bathroom for my makeup and hair accessories.

eye shadow in one drawer, face stuff in another etc.

i keep my everyday throw on makeup in a makeup bag on top of the shelves so i can throw in it my purse quickly in the am.

I did buys Kaboodle to use lol fits on the shelf and it is covered.

I have all my make up in a black Chanel make up bag I got for free. I have it in my closet.

I have a grown-up Kaboodle train case- it's not girly at all (but I'd buy the old-school one in a heartbeat- I LOVED those!!)

I also have a good size clear box with two trays and a deep bottom- it's a KMart Martha Stewart item that I got many years ago. It's held up really well. I get ready for work in our downstairs half bath because I get up very early and would otherwise wake my kid.
