I usually go to costco but this year I went to target and am very happy
But I usually get basic plastic frames nothing fancy

Where do you buy eyeglasses?
I go to Baldwin Optometry and have been for a few years. Not sure if you have insurance or pay OOP but they have good deals if you're OOP on designer frames. I pay OOP for my sunglasses, but my sight glasses I use my insurance.

Yeah, actually my old place has the designer frames and I just want something very simple. But I like expensive really lightweight lenses because my vision is really bad and I get headaches when the lenses are too heavy. I will check out Costco. I just joined there.

I used Costco last time. I liked that I could look at the frames and select on my own. At my optometrist everything is behind a glass case and you have to have someone open for you, they stand there and wait. I'm too indecisive and need lots of time so I always feel rushed. At Costco the majority of them are open so you can take as long as you want.
I would suggest going at an off-time or first thing in the morning, as the line gets very long and is very slow. Even if its slow, the price difference makes it worth it (Costco without insurance were 1/3 of the price of my optometrist with insurance and I still got designer frames.)

But I went to BJ's over the summer. They were having a bogo, so I got sunglasses, too. Decent selection actually.

My annual eyeglass benefit is $150 or less. I can always find a pair for that price or less.

39dollarglasses.com!! They always have $15 of specials, so $24.99 for a pair of glasses. They are local (Isandia), so you get your order FAST! Usually within 2 days of ordering. I have two pairs from them, and couldn't be happier!

Eye Deal Optical in West Hempstead. I get examined there, too. He has frames at all price points, fits me well, and the service is great. They take most kinds of insurance, so you can get what's covered or use it as a discount.

I don't wear glasses but my mom says Costco was basically half the price of the several other places she had gone. Apparently they have really great prices.
