Where do we start???

DH and I bought a house three months before the wedding so naturally all we did was move our stuff in from the apartment we used to rent and lived with it that way. Now that the wedding is over, we're gearing up to start painting and decorating. Where the heck do we begin!? It just seems like there's so much we want to do and it's all so overwhelming! All the walls and mouldings were painted white so the house is like a blank canvas! Any advice would be so appreciated!!!

Well, look at your furniture...look at colors that you like..go to Home Depot or Lowes and check out their paint and see if you're an earthy type person or a bold color person.

I think that color should come first and then you can accent the room with other things that go with the wall color.

How lucky!! Just think, now you get to do things your own way!!

You know in the beginning that's what I thought! But now that I've actually got to start decorating, it's not so easy!

I think one of the big issues is that I really don't like the furniture we have. It's all hand-me-downs with the exception of one piece (that I love!) and what we do have (with the exception of that one piece) is not really my style. So I'm having trouble working around it.

I would take your time and do one thing at once.
Once walls & floors are done, I would then do the furniture
