I got mine at Little Dickens, also. I felt like they had a big selection, adn they were soooo helpful!
I went to Colony Shop in Patchogue to look for something fancy for my DS to wear for a wedding recently and they had LOTS of nice clotehs - didn't really look at christening outfits, but it probably would also be a good place to try.

I got my DS's at Kids Stuff for Less in Lindenhurst. They are kind of like a Once Upon a Child store. They buy for boutiques. I bought it for $45.00. One piece and all cotton.

Little Dickens in Centereach on Middle Country, just east of the Good Steer., then the after party outfit at Little Shop for Babies in Smithtown on Terry Rd, just south of 25.

ETA: I cant find a photo but there was no shine to it....all cotton!

I got Robbie's at Bumblebabies in Bay Shore and Noah's at Little Rascal's in East Islip. Both were silk. Silk is not like satin and is not high gloss and super shiny - but it does have a little sheen.
