Where can I find a toy box?
Where can I find a nice toy box? I was thinking light color wood to match DD's furniture and maybe get her name painted on, or something to match her room? Where can I find something like this?

About 8 years ago they had some at Burlingtons Baby Depot. That is the last time I needed to look for something like that. Let me know where you find one though..... eventually when I have kids, I'd like to get my own one.

You may want to try one of those wood places that sells nude furniture and paint it yourself or have someone paint it for you!

I had one that I used as a coffee table/storage when I lived in a studio in the city... in light wood!

In Smithtown there is a store in the Daffy's Center, called Bath Beautiful (I think that's the name). They do exactly that type of thing. I have a box, similar to what your describing, in my youngest daughter's room. In fact, she has a fairy theme and I brought in a sham from her bedding set and they copied part of it onto the toy box.
I would also check out Baby Merry Go Round in Commack (on commack road) and Spoiled Rotten in Dix Hills.

Gothic Cabinet Craft sells all of their stuff unfinished or finished-- and they offer tons of finish options.

We did this for a bookcase & they finished it for us. It was significantly less.
