where can I find a recruiter / head hunter

My Dh is in need of a new job. I've tried finding a recruiter..not an employment / temp agency..someone who will work on his behalf and get him an interview.

resume has been redone and its pretty great. but we just cant get any bites. and Im wondering if its just the automatic resume scanners now that company use that just reject most resumes if the keywords / descriptions dont match..b/c he's applying for stuff that he's well qualified to do.

We need someone to bypass all that. or Im going to start searching ways to game the resume searching softwares.

he is a Sr. Acct manager for a company that manages energy / utlity rebates for commercial spaces. They deal with utility companies. So Starbucks is his client. When Starbucks retrofits their chains with energy efficient lighting, HVAC units, etc. they are eligible for rebate incentives from that states Utility companies. Dh manages those projects and getting those rebates from the Utilities. thats probably the easiest way for me to explain it.

its a niche field in the energy industry, but he's got lots of transferrable skills.

we are also in PA area. he works in Philly. has worked retail management, coding / expediting industry as well.

Been there done that with Linked in. Most seem to be just employment agencies for temp work.

we also paid to have his linked in profile redone with the resume package. Nada.

Dh is not on any other form of social media. Not sure if that is hindering him in this day and age.

Honestly I would get his resume up to date and perfect. Then craft a quality cover letter. Post his resume on indeed.com, monster, career builder, ziprecruiter and so on. Generally hiring managers will find you. If you find a job posting try to figure out the key person in charge of that job and email them. Or use LinkedIn to identify the right person. I google and sometimes can figure out if john smith is the hr person for target and you want to work there you can figure [email protected] and sub in john smith.

done all that. resume professionally re-written, new cover letter, new linked in profile, his resume is on all those sites. I dont get it.

I typically dont like trying to find who the HR person is b/c they have online applications for a reason and feel that may be looked down upon. but honestly, at this point I'll try anything.
