when you've lost all respect...

... for your boss/supervisor.

what do you do?

she's been here since the end of january. we obviously gave her time to get "with the program", but the honeymoon is over and she's an idiot who is underqualified for the job.

i USED to have a good work ethic, now, i just sit here and fake it. this is not who i am or who i want to be.

i can't think of quiting until the end of the summer/early fall.

what's a girl to do?

i'd keep up that good work ethic of yours, regardless of your unqualified supervisor. Who knows....maybe someone higher up will see that and let go of her and promote you.

That sounds like my old job! I came home and cried everyday, I was sick and beyotchy. Now I feel fabulous and I have not been sick since I left. I am back to my old self, I only cry for Lifetime movies and Oprah.

I was in a terrible place for 5 years, do yourself a favor and look for a new job. Do not let it get to the point I was at, it was a dark and scary place. Do not wait any longer!! Run like the wind!!!!

That happened at my old job. I reached the point that I couldn't make eye contact without sneering at the man. I had to leave.

I went through the same thing last year. You can't work with someone who you have no respect for. But I agree, just do your best, be the better person and keep on truckin'...see what happens, she may not work out soon enough...

i have so been there and it was so hard. Unfortunately for me my direct boss and supervisor was the owner of the company....so there was no one else to impress with my worth ethic. He ended up firing me....but it was the happiest day of my life. I actually smiled when he did it...i think that ****** him off!!

I was in that position up until a few months ago. My boss would come in at like 11 or 12 o'clock everyday! She was always making us miss deadlines. She ended up leaving anyway. But for a long time I was miserable.

I say look for another job just to see what is out there.

I had a boss like that. And it's true, it makes you work less for some reason. Thank God mine was fired and now I have an awesome manager.

Try to just work thru it.

You know what they say..."people don't quit the job, they quit their manager." And it is so true.

i know how you feel. i totally do not respect my boss. he's stupider than a box of rocks. what does a girl do.......you ask.........

i think that i'm going to start looking for another job, but in the meantime... i'm going to do my best to continue to do this c r a p p y job to the best of my ability.

besides, i might need positive feedback when interviewing
