When you're sleeping on your side
And you feel the baby is on that side, do you ever feel like you might be squishing it? Each and every time I get so nervous and start try to reposition pillows and belly. By that time I'm wide awake hoping I didn't squish anything

Re: When you're sleeping on your side
I am still sleeping on my belly at almost 17 weeks because I just cannot sleep in any other position. I slept on my belly until nearly 30 weeks with both my first 2 also, and neither of them got squished

Re: When you're sleeping on your side
It's fine! If I turn a bit too much on the belly, the baby kicks me and I reposition myself.

Re: When you're sleeping on your side
Honestly - as you get bigger the baby is squished in there all day - when I sit I feel the baby trying to squirm itself into a more comfortable position because my torso folds in on the poor thing... the baby is fine, just inconvenienced...

Re: When you're sleeping on your side
Yes I always think that. I always slept on my stomach before I got pregnant. Can;t do that now. I still wake up on my back a lot but when I am sleeping. If I know she is on one side of me I try to sleep on the other because I do feel like I might squish her.

Yes!!! Everytime I lay down and start to feel him kick I start to wonder if he is comfortable or getting squished. God-forbid I feel him on the side I am laying on

Re: When you're sleeping on your side
YES and I just said this to DH last night. I hate when I am on my side and I feel him kicking into the bed. I feel like I am completlely crushing him. I will usually stay on my back until it's time to go to sleep - and then he pretty much calms down anyway!

Re: When you're sleeping on your side
Yes i always feel the baby's head when i lay on my right side. I alwasy lay on my left side though so the baby doesnt feel squished. But Liza is right the baby is squished anyway all day and they have to re position themselves to get into a comfortable position.

Re: When you're sleeping on your side
Thanks! Now I don't feel like the bad Mommy I was feeling like. I always wondered if the baby was stirring to get Mommy to move her butt
