When your mother doesn't like your SO...
W T F do you do to stay sane???? I can't stand it anymore...she turns everything into his fault. I just moved, and I was feeling a little off, a little lonely...and she just sent me an email that it's him, he's why I'm not feeling good, he's mean, and he's playing mind games???? Does anyone know voodoo, or witchcraft, something that can help me make her change her tune...UGH, I can't stand it

I don't have a whole lot of advise, but you sound like you can use a
Maybe speak to your mother about it in a way that opens her eyes. Telling her that if she continues this kind of treatment regarding your SO, you will start to distance yourself from her. It's not fair to you and you shouldn't have to listen to it. I don't know what kind of mother she is, but if it was my mom I would think that she would stop the negativity in the face of having her daughter slip away. Does this make sense?

Re: When your mother doesn't like your SO...
I don't have any advice because every time my parents didn't like one of my boy friends, they turned out to be right about them. I know that is not always the case, but is there something that you are missing that she can see from outside the box? If you are sure that it is her nit-picking, then you should definately talk to her and see why she is feeling this way and what he could do to change her mind.
