When you transitioned from crib to bed.....
Was it cold turkey? Or did you have them both in the same room, just in case DC didn't want to go right into the bed? Any tips on making this transition smooth?
I want to make sure when we take the crib apart, that's it. Any tips on taking apart the crib?
TIA!!!!

DD was kind of forced into the transition, but it didnt bother her at all, she went cold turkey...no crib in site.

Re: When you transitioned from crib to bed.....
For both DC, we have convertible beds, so there is no "both" in the room. It's either a crib, a daybed, or a full size bed. They seemed to transition pretty easily.
We focused on them moving to a "big kid" bed. I think most DC like being a big kid, so it's kind of exciting for them to switch.

Re: When you transitioned from crib to bed.....
If my bed and crib were separate then I would leave them both set up. Our crib turns into a toddler bed so that won't be an option for us. I am not ready to transition Dylan but I think he would fall asleep in a bed without a problem. He has cuddled up in his chair to take naps. I'm just not a cold turkey kind of person, hence him drinking alternatively from bottles, sippy cups and real cups. I'm not saying it is best, but I have my reasons.
