When you DC is sick...
Do you alter your sleeping routine?
DD has a bad cold. She is miserable. Hasn't slept in 2 nights.
Typically, she sleeps in her crib without problems and puts herself to sleep. Last night and now again tonight DH is laying on her floor while she tries to fall asleep and it's the only way to stop her from crying hysterically.
I *get* the need right now, but I am afraid it's going to become a habit that we now have to break.
DH tells me to relax..."she's sick".
What do you do?

When DD is sick we just do what works, normally that means coming to bed with us. It was never an issue switching back.

Yes, we do whatever works. I will be honest though, we've had to do CIO over again once the illness passed at least once.

When you DC is sick...
We do what works. Whatever she wants. I figure she's got enough going on with being sick. We've never had to re sleep train after breaking up a routine, but DD is also a really laid back kid
