When would you "ground" him?

Al travels for work, or is otherwise working from home. If he has any trips, he's usually he's gone 1 night a week.

He's leaving tomorrow morning for Dallas, and will be back on Tuesday night.

Then he leaves next Tuesday (30th) for Cleveland and Chicago and returns Wednesday night (31st).

I'll be 37 weeks on Thursday, due 6/15. At my last appt (on Friday) there was nothing happening yet, and my Dr said it looks like a June baby. I don't have another appt until the 30th.

I'm ok with tomorrow's trip, but next week has me a little nervous, and I think those should be his last trips until after the baby.

What do you think?

I have already. DH was supposed to go upstate this weekend ATV'ing but I was too nervous. I asked him not to go and just wait 2 more weeks to go.

I would say the trip next week would be OK....then play it by ear with your doctor visits. You could be sitting around for awhile yet before baby's arrival.

I would ground home starting in June. I think all travel should be called off the month you're due. You never know when it could happen and I'm sure he would be just as upset as you if he, god forbid, missed the delivery.

I'm due July 20th, so DH will only be doing limited domestic travel for that month. He'll still be traveling internationally (Asia) for the month of June.

I agree -

My DH travels quite a bit these days for his job, and when this came up with my doctor she said (part jokingly, but part seriously too) that she would be calling his office and "grounding him" no later than the end of September (that is, as long as my pregnancy was progressing normally...)

eta: I'm due October 14th

Lou stopped travelling around 34 weeks or so when I had the false labor (although luckily he doesn't have to travel often). He may have had a short 1 night stay after that. After 37, I would ground Al - you never know. I had nothing going on (no dialtion or effaced on a Thursday and went into labor on a Monday and still had no dilation!
