When to tell

We haven't told anyone yet, I'm 9w2d. Our plan was to do it father's day (june 15) I'd be a little over 12 weeks. But our NT scan is scheduled for June 18. Its also my next appointment, so I won't have any ultrasounds in between (I just went yesterday). Do you think its okay to tell people on father's day or would you wait til after the NT scan?

When to tell

We told our mother's last week at 11weeks, I'm telling my BFF tomorrow at 1 day shy of 12 weeks, and will likely tell extended family, like my grandparents after my ultrascan Tuesday.

Honestly it's personal preference. There really is no right or wrong. It's what you feel comfortable with.

For my first I waited to tell until about 13 weeks right after the results of the nt scan. My immediate family knew very early though- around 6 weeks. I'll probably wait until 12 weeks this time around also.

Gah! IDK lol. It'll be my parents and brother and DH's parents and siblings and kids that we see on father's day. We'd wait for everyone else for a bit.

When to tell

Tell whenever you want. We told family when we found out.

Eta. I never had the NT so we told everyone by 12 weeks and had no clue if everything was/ would be ok.

When to tell

We told right away, obviously not work or acquaintances but immediate family and friends.

When to tell

Immediate family when we confirmed by blood test. We told our friends and everyone else at 10 weeks. Because of IF, by that time we had about 5 scans done.

When to tell

We told our parents and siblings after our first appointment at 8 weeks. We're waiting until the NT Scan to tell the rest of our family and our friends although we may tell a few lose friends a few days before that since we'll be together.

We saw an RE for possible PCOS and I had to take Clomid, so we had about 4 scans there and I just had my first scan at the OB on Wednesday. I might end up calling the doctor for a different appointment anyway, I'm not sure DH will be able to make it.

We're leaning towards telling them, and just telling them to keep it quiet for now.

We told my parents, siblings and his parents/siblings between 6-7 weeks right before we heard heartbeat but saw the sac. We then told really close friends and a few additional family members around 8 weeks after hearing the heartbeat.

We then told everyone else including work around 12 weeks after NT scan.

Re: When to tell

Tell whenever you are comfortable. For DS, I wasnt comfortable telling until 13 weeks or so. I had a friend who told everyone as soon as she found out, and another who didnt tell anyone she was pregnant until she gave birth. She did this twice.

I also agree with others...whenever you're comfortable. With DS#1 we told immediate family right away; like within 2 or 3 days of finding out. Other friends & family I waited until 8-10 weeks; and EVERY one else after the NT scan. This time around I just told people right away; whenever I saw them/talked to them. We don't do a big announcement or anything. Only people who don't know yet (at 11 weeks) is work. And I'm going to have to tell him like next week b/c it's getting obvious...

Re: When to tell

i personally would wait until after the scan, but that's just me. For all 3 of my kids, i wanted until after the 12 week mark and since the scan is right after that, i'd wait.

Once she began showing, she stopped going out, canceled last minute on plans, didn't post pics etc.
