When to shop for insurance?
We are in contract, set to close in June. Should I be calling companies now?
Also, our lender e-mailed me that they can shop around for competitive prices for insurance, is this the way to go? Or is it better I do my own shopping around?

you should be getting quotes now
and you can let them get you some quotes but I would get a few yourself and then take the best price with equal coverage and a company you are comfortable with
