I don't remember how old DS was, but he flopped over during a nap....last time!

When to Retire the Swing ?
Around 6 months... Dd wouldn't nap in it anymore really so we packed it up to gain more LR space

When to Retire the Swing ?
Around 7 months... DD was/is small so it wasn't a matter of her not fitting in it anymore, she was just done with it. She would cry when we put her in it & try to sit up/lean over. It was good timing since we had to make room in living room for Christmas tree anyway

We officially put it away at 9 months, but he stopped using it at 7 months.
